Car Wash & Detailing

Mt. Battie Car Wash

Hi, my name is Delisa Morong.  My husband Chris and I own and operate Mt. Battie Car Wash, a full service car wash and car care/auto detail center.  An attendant is on site from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM seven days a week, weather permitting.

Mt. Battie Car Wash features a Mark VII Touch-Free Rollover System that provides the highest-quality touch free wash at a competitive price that is sure to meet and exceed your expectations.  The Mark VII Touch-Free Rollover embodies everything that has been learned over 40+ years of pioneering touch-free technology.

In addition to the Mark VII Touch Free Rollover Car Wash, Mt. Battie Car Wash also offers Mark VII’s Aqua Spray Self Serve.  With three (3) covered self serve wash bays and one (1) outside self serve wash bay, the Mt. Battie Car Wash can help you clean all of your vehicles large and small.

Once your car is clean on the outside, the Mt. Battie Car Wash offers three (3) Fragra-Matic Fragrance and Vacuum Machines.  These powerful units can clean the inside of your vehicle quickly and easily.

Mt. Battie Car Care/Detail Center

In addition to our car wash, we also offer a full service car care/detail center on site.  We offer 5 different car care packages ranging from a complete full detail to a simple wash, vacuum and glass package.

Auto detailing is the performance of an extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing an automobile both inside and out, to produce a showroom-quality level of detail.  Besides improving the appearance of cars, detailing helps to preserve the car, and thus, increases resale value.

Exterior detailing involves cleaning and bringing a shine to the car’s paint, chrome trim, windows, wheels, and even tires.  We use a variety of cleaning agents, including detergents, detail clay, waxes, and polishes, as well as a variety of applicators and special cloths.

It is important to note the three main components of exterior car detailing which are cleaning, correcting, and protecting. Cleaning refers to removing all foreign surface particles from exterior surfaces through the use of washing and quick detailing. A clay bar helps to clean contamination/dirt from within the clearcoat that cannot be removed through weekly washing. Clearcoat contamination can come from industrial fallout, air particles, dirt particles, tar, and animal droppings. Correcting refers to using mechanical polishes by hand or with a machine and specific polishing pads that remove a fine layer of clearcoat from a vehicle to remove fine scratches and swirls from a paint surface produced from improper washing or drying technique. Protecting involves the application of a protective material (in liquid or paste form) that prevents foreign matter from adhering to the surface of the vehicle, including water, bugs splatter, tar, and dirt. Waxes and sealants provide this barrier against the elements.

Interior detailing involves cleaning the passenger compartment of the car. Vacuuming and glass cleaning are standard, and hot water carpet extractors, liquid cleaners, and brushes may be used to remove stains on upholstery and carpeting.  A dressing is applied to all vinyl, plastic and leather to enhance the beauty and appearance of the interior of your automobile.
