My name is Heather Shields. I’m a Realtor with Jaret & Cohn Real Estate, the largest real estate company in Mid-Coast Maine with over 70 agents. Every day, I have the pleasure of working with people in the process of making one of the biggest decisions of their lives – buying or selling real estate. I’m a Maine native. I know and understand this area and its people. Real estate is my passion and I carry that passion into each and every transaction.

I grew up here in mid-coast Maine on the island of North Haven about 12 miles out in Penobscot Bay. Growing up on an island of 350 people year-round residents taught me many of the lessons I now carry into my real estate career. I learned the importance of respect, determination and perseverance. Graduating in a class of four taught me the importance of trust and how to relate to people. When my family needed groceries or we had a doctor’s appointment, we took an hour-long ferry ride to Rockland. Life was about being organized and timely.

Each and every client I work with has different needs and expectations. As a Realtor, it’s important that I listen and hear each of those needs and translate them into a smooth and easy real estate transaction. I know how challenging this process can be. I know how important it is to gather the information you need and get your questions answered in a clear, timely and professional manner. Real estate is my passion and I carry that passion into each and every transaction. There’s nothing more satisfying than helping people realize their lifelong dream or owning a home.
